About Me

Hello, my name is Shannon (I usually go by Shann) and I grew up on a farm in the middle of timber/logging country in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains in Washington state. Back in 1982 my parents bought this old farm house on the banks of Star Lake and me and my 5 siblings had a blast living in the lake house.
I grew up loving the outdoors and I especially love the Olympic Peninsula in Western Washington. We've got everything I love here: mountains to sea and green forests all in between. In some places the mountains meet the sea and that is the area I love the best. We (I and my three adult kids) spend some great times camping around the Olympic National Park and enjoying the all the natural attractions plus the little amazing towns that dot the Oly Pen have some great historic points as well. I love seaside towns and there are plenty of those too :)

I had to take involuntary early retirement in 2006. I have multiple conditions that led to this, the main ones are Fibromyalgia, CFS, CEBVS, PTSD, Diabetes...and the list goes on (and on it seems) but we can just stick to the main ones. Ah...whatever, I hate talking about it, it's the big elephant in our house many days. I make do and sometimes I don't, sometimes I don't get out of bed. Some days are diamonds and some days are poo. My main job as I see it now is to take the days that are poo and use them as fertilizer!

I like beading, wire work especially and all different kinds of crafts to keep me busy when I've got "too much" thinking or down time. I've been learning about form line art the last couple of years and have been experimenting with design elements to make random paintings. I'm excited to be here and right now I'm having a good day :) that could change in the next 11 to 15 minutes but that's the way it goes for me...going to enjoy it while it's here.

I have an Etsy store where we sell my crafts and finds from our random travels (check the Shop link) and I'm currently working on a website that will be a permanent home for the collection of my photography, craft and art work. Here is the link:
