End of story...

Good morning. All kinds of irony in that but, well, I’m here and it beats the alternative.

I finished up Nano around 9 pm. Went and promptly crashed for quick nap. Told kids I needed to be up before midnight. I woke up facedown with my right arm completely numb around 3:20 a.m. Simple mathmatics: arm = dead numb when you sleep on it. Still waiting for the damn thing to “work” correctly.

So I realized it was well after 12 and hightailed it over to the nano website. The validator had of course closed and I couldn’t enter my final word count. So no official winner status and updates for 2012 until October 2013. Frustration swamped me. Such BS!

I felt a little robbed. OK. Maybe more than “a little”. Maybe a whole bunch. Then I realized, I shouldn’t let some silly little thing like that disappoint me. I worked my ass off this Nano2012 and I WON. I did it. I did it before the deadline, I won! Nothing is going to take that away from me. I WON!

End of story.

For this year anyway ;)
