Trippy Tuesday

Doctor's appointment, possible labs AND grocery day today...and major road trip with mom from Elma to Aberdeen to Olympia (Costco) and Shelton and then back home. By the time I got home I was dragging one leg behind me but...got a major stack of groceries (at the grocery outlet, not Costco, lol), no labs---yay, no annoying needle jab, that's scheduled for the beginning of next month now, no insulin (yay). We know it's going to happen but staving it off as long as possible is my goal. The doc talked to me about exercise---I wish they'd at least attempt to peruse your chart before they walk in and have exceedingly ignorant statement pop out. So I explained (again) about my fibromyalgia, cane, walker and wheelchair lifestyle that I sometimes lead and finished off with agreeing to swim like a mofo this summer since I can't afford the gym  & the pool. Hmmm...now that I think of it, maybe I could talk to mom about buddying up and going to the pool this winter...hmmm...an idea is forming....hmmm....

So, I spent a great day with my mom and got pretty good news at the doctor...plus she refilled my vicodin so that's nice, I like walking, sleeping, sitting upright etc without having to "rest" between those activities. Sadly, the favorite part about vicodine for me is that is slows down the adverse reaction to the metformin (severe stomach discomfort and back spasms with projectile diarrhea...yeah, I went there. I go there several times a day WITH vicodine & phenergan and if I didn't have that low-dose combo I wouldn't just "go there", I'd live in the effen bathroom. Which is pretty cute but still not my favorite part of the house by a long shot. Plus vicodine does help enough with the pain that I can do some stuff. Not much but some. I could push for a higher dose but I don't think my output would be that increased because of increased clumsiness and nausea and I'm already exceedingly nauseous from the metformin. So, I don't think my efficiency/output would increase in proportion to the downsides--- if we could figure out a way to get past the increased nausea my happy might increase mightily as the less pain I'm in the happier (more relief) I am.

eh, I'm more tired than I thought (must be from tramping those long aisle at Costco & then the grocery outlet

I love the grocery outlet and I love the irony...I go to Costco and buy nothing as I find "nothing" really a good deal today and then go over to the grocery outlet and buy 3 twenty pound (bulk) bags of rice. I'm not gonna lie, I bought one for Sissy and the other two are for my pantry. I've been putting off buying a lot of  rice and pasta since September, lol. Ok...

What can I really say? My mom bought some cocoa packets at Costco & when we were at Grocery Outlet she went: "HUH! That's cheaper than what paid at Costco for the same thing!" She was a wee bit pissed and I don't blame her. Costco has her supplements she needs and are cheaper than anywhere else but most everything else you can get cheaper if you know your prices in general. I know she was thinking and re-thinking that membership price...heck... and now I'm distracted. I just can't stop thinking about the pool...sigh...gonna go do some research :) and then off for my nap um...or bed, it was a long day!
