Question of the Week #28

Question of the Week #28

As the year winds to a close I find myself contemplating the past year, things I had planned to do and didn't get done and things and projects I did plan and completed or started and made satisfactory progress towards finishing. I don't like to make resolutions for New Year's, as many do because I used to make resolutions but would rarely keep a few for an entire year and slip back into my "old ways". So...I don't like to make NY resolutions but I do sit down at least every six months and work on goals and the planning and progress of projects, both long term and short term. Of course right around the start of the new year is a good time to review but I also make it a point to track and plan progress (or non-progress, lol) to have an idea of where I am at with the goals I have set for myself.

Reviewing this year I find I have kept and made progress on over half of the goals I had mapped out in November 2012, in fact my progress was closer to 75% success than half and the old over-achiever in me starts to gripe at how I could do better but I nip that straight in the bud these days. My condition(s) and health can be unpredictable and make it very hard to schedule things quite frequently so to me anything over 40% percent successful is BIG WIN in my book anymore :) I find myself thinking of goals and projects that I have made progress on what I am interested in expanding on and what I am going to drop and areas I am interested in investigating further.

Maybe they really are just resolutions (LOL) but I term them differently, to me they are on-going plans, projects and goals as well and I think that for me is the key to keeping on track to completing them.

This week's question has to do with resolutions or goals or projects you are contemplating for the New Year. What resolutions (if any) or goals or projects are you considering making concerning your crafting and art? Do you even make New Year's resolutions? If you do, what are they?

Looking forward to hearing your answers!
