Question of the Week #46
So it's another stiff and slow moving Monday here on the banks of Star Lake, the weather has been pretty harsh with record rainfalls the last 3 days and it sounds like a faucet turned on high when it is really coming down. I don't know what it is about this weather but it really wears me out, I'm just up from my third nap of the day and I've drank 3/4 of a pot of coffee by myself in between those naps. I did get up at 3 a.m. due to back discomfort so I expected I'd be napping/resting later but hmmm...I do feel I've got a fourth nap coming on soon LOL. I say lol because it's really not as bad as it could be and I am very very grateful for that :)
So Mother's Day is next weekend and most women I know are either giving or receiving for this holiday or doing both. I am doing both. I am giving my mother (and yes it will be a surprise for her lol) Independence Day Decorations and a little red, white and blue beaded bracelet with a magnetic clasp.
I know this might sound a little strange but for her it is a wonderful gift idea.
She LOVES the 4th, it is her favorite holiday although Christmas is a close second. She has a big 4th of July family & friend gathering and cookout and it seems every year she has to replenish her decorations so I thought the kids and I would get her some reusable holiday specific party decorations---a large red, white and blue inflatable party cooler for one thing---and buntings, balloons, flags, streamers and other stuff to make her house (she lives across the lake from me in a wonderful huge old farm house) and the yard where the party is held look very patriotic and festive. I even got her a red white and blue "floaty" chair for her for the lake if it is hot this year :)
Now I know not all of you are mothers but most women I know (mothers or not) are either giving or receiving this Mother's Day so the question this week is what are you all doing? Giving, receiving or both this holiday? And what?
OK...Looking forward to hearing your answers!

Happy Monday to all <3
