One of the benefits of early Spring here in the Pacific North West is the beautiful varied shades of colors of the outdoors: green, gold and brown of our timberlands and the forests contrast with our beautiful and rugged coast with it's own blending of myriad shades--black, brown, gold, blue, green, grey and then combined with the sunsets...oh, so many beautiful natural colors everywhere you look.
I live close to the Olympic National Forest, the Olympic National Park and about 30 minutes from the coast (Three of my favorite places. EVER. lol).

and in the midst of all this Spring growth the colors are amazing...and there are so many different shades of green...they probably don't have enough names for the myriad of green hues. I think it might be similar to the idea the Eskimos have...it's true, they have at least 50 words for "snow"...
This week's question has to do with colors and favorites/preferences. I love dark green, cobalt, copper, brown/gold, dark amethyst purple. Mostly I prefer these natural, earthy and dark jewel tones but I find myself working with much lighter shades or completely different colors more often than not and started wondering, how many of you do that, or if you stick to your favorite colors or ?
So, this week's question: Do you find yourself using a certain color combination/ palette more than others and if so, what are your favorite color combinations? Are they different from the ones you end up using most?
Looking forward to hearing your answers!
Please remember to submit suggestions and questions to: spdychevy@gmail.com with Question in the subject line and we'll get your question up here soon!
Happy Monday to all :)
