It being pay day and all...

I headed to the store for light bulbs so I can see what the heck I'm doing in the studio and the office.

So... I just have to ask...what kind of evil genius puts the office supplies by the light bulbs? How do they *know* my weakness, my personal KRYPTONITE, my office supply fetish?

Well, odds are they don't and it's "just one of those things" but truthfully, I'm super glad it was the dollar store and not WalMart or Freddie's. I only bought two extra new packs of pens and some small legal pads so = 3 bucks + tax---WAY LESS than if I'd had the same dilemma some where else. As for the pens? Very very happy with them and they're the equivalent of the 5-6-7 bucks a 3 pack anywhere else. Oh happy day on that score. Nice professional fiber tip 3 pack in blue & black and needle point gels in 3 pack of red, blue & black. :) Big smiles...now I just have to hope they don't quit carrying them! I don't even know where you can get fiber tips anymore besides pilot and then you've got to search around here---so so happy I found these ;)

I had to get some more R2's since my black died on me and the replacement (nearest to) is 7 bucks for one. I love the dollar store r2's: 2 pens for a buck, the quality of which I'd end up paying 14 bucks for anywhere else. An R2 doesn't screw up my paper with excess ink, leave "feathers" or blots...got some major formline (paper) projects coming up and now, I've got my mainstays so I'm ready to start work. Good deal :)

The top Bear done with an R2 (this is the front of the paper, barely any bleed through on the back)

Below, same outline done with a needle tip sharpie and needle tip BIC permanent pen

NEEDLE TIP.
Not my definition of fine line, sorry :( just not as "crisp" as I want

Ok, off to the studio to play and work and work and play since the two get mixed together all the time when I'm out there, oh happy day I get to go play...
