Throw up Thursday

Not a great title for the post this morning but that's what it is. Evidently my dinner did not digest---might have been due to the one and half instead of just a half vicodine I took last night because I was in so much pain AND spending lengthy amounts of time in the bathroom. This morning was BAD. I cried a little bit towards the end.

Good news is my blood sugar was 167 which is really good considering I thought it was my fasting blood sugar and only after the "incident" realized I still had dinner in my system when I took my blood sugar. I took my blood sugar an hour later and it was 202. Still better than without metformin. Still better. And my right kidney isn't hurting as badly as it was so yes, still better. Still Better. I hate being nauseous and don't like taking anti-nausea meds since they tire me out even more but I don't really have a lot of alternatives. My nephew and son laughingly pointed out a solution that many cancer patients use for nausea associated with chemotherapy but I just don't think it'll work.

Now that pot is legal in Washington state I could use it to combat my nausea except for one thing...pot makes me nauseous. Oh the irony! LOL What a bummer! But then I also get people telling me "we just have to find the right method of ingestion for you to combat the nausea". Look, if it makes me nauseated, why would I want to fight to find a way to take it for nausea? HELLO! I am poor and the goverment will pay for the majority of the cost of my anti-nausea meds. I have to pay $1.15 co-pay for them. The government will not pay for pot. My insurance will not pay for pot. I throw up from the stuff, some doctors have suggested I might be allergic to the stuff. Why would I fight for stuff to take that I might be allergic to, that does make me nauseous and I would have to pay big bucks for out of my own pocket? I signed the petitions to legalize it, I voted to legalize it. It helps so many people and please, IMO it's probably better than alcohol and that shit's been legal for years and it's obviously not destructive like METH or some other shit somebody cooked up in a dirty tub somewhere.

OK, off my soapbox for now, lol. I've already dealt with two phone calls so my blogging time is up for now. Besides, anti-nausea meds are telling me it's now time for my mid-morning nap. I've been up since 5 so that's about right :) Nighty night for now...
