Finally got some good weather and broke out another party float :)

Sorry it took me so long to get back here! I've been up & down (physically) and fighting with my new Dr. that I'm stuck with since my local clinic closed.

PLUS having water/plumbing problems in this old (lucky it's so charming...I keep saying it long enough...) place and the lake community where I live is having water system issues so half the time I don't if we've sprung a leak again or if it's the community water system...agggghhh...lol. Somebody came to visit and said "You said Tore up from the floor up and you weren't kidding!" Uh. Yeah. Literally pulled carpets etc. Evidently been leaking since we moved in. Owner knew. Because of it's location under the tub, we had no clue until Bert said "One of the dogs peed on my floor ALOT I think, it's bad." and we looked and there was just this soggy spot in the middle of the carpet. Then we started pulling the bed away from the wall in her room and AAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!! So then, we went to the middle bedroom (on the OTHER side of the bathroom) and moved the bed out and I...well...I cried for a little bit. All damn winter, slow leak.

Still drying out. Yes, that is cat litter. Works wonders for pulling moisture from floors & walls.

Could be worse though, all this could have happened in the winter, lol. Mold was taken care of ASAP but for now Bert is in the RV with her brother (that's what is great about having extra emergency sleeping space).

Been waiting waiting waiting for this to dry out so I can deal with the rest of the clean up/revamp. Sigh...

I hate getting distracted and it happens often enough with the phone or people dropping by. Ug, my house is tore up, I know you are family but call first please so I can at least clear a path...sigh...lol. Plus if they drop by and they're like "I can't believe you aren't working on the house!" I feel guilty but defensive as well because frankly if I didn't take a "break" from this house in need of constant repair now and then I might just burn it down and I would ultimately regret it, lol.
