Several quick questions this week:
Has anyone looked into (or is trying) the new store site called OpenSky?
Any thoughts and input concerning using or considering using (or not), please share. I received an invite on facebook to open a merchant store and I went to the site and did some research but I am not expanding to this site as of yet. (Info links provided at the bottom of this post). The ad was interesting as it echoed a general trend I am seeing in general in the web of Etsy being labeled as an overly-saturated site.
The reason I did not join OpenSky at this time (it's all free and it works out to 20% commission on actual sales so it looks pretty good) is simple. I am having quite the time juggling the professional and personal sites I already do have. This is also why I have not joined Twitter and some other sites. Social Media is overwhelming me.
I've been doing research (info links provided at the bottom of the page) on what different social media management tool/apps/sites are out there and I'm still sitting on the fence to take the plunge to use any. A big part of me balks at the idea I have so many sites I'm on that I actually NEED a social media management solution. A big part of me is Noooooooo...more boring annoying stuff instead of playing and having fun Noooo...
but..
the truth is I am juggling the sites I do have and I've been having a hard time finding the energy for posting on my blog as I am usually "burnt out" by the time I get done checking out my other sites etc. I don't expect everything to be fun but I do expect it to be more enjoyable than what it has been.
So that is why I am looking in to social media management, which I truthfully never EVER thought I would be interested or need to be doing. I want to free up more time (my time is limited due to health and energy issues already) for projects I really want to do. I am more of a pen/paper/listmaker (hardcopy) person and currently I've been developing a customized planner & organizer (on the computer, which makes the irony delicious to me) that can be used on the computer or printed and written in, back and forth, vice versa etc. but by the time I get done juggling daily social media tasks I want off the computer for awhile, not work on yet another electronic project.
Which leads to my next question: are there any of you using or considering using a social media management tool or app? If so, which one and how is that working out for you?
OK...Looking forward to hearing your answers!

Happy Monday to all <3
