Question of the Week #69

First off: HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all our Canadian members!
:) I hope you have a great gathering today (or did this past weekend) with your loved ones :)

In the states this month I think it's all about the pumpkins, I'm seeing pumpkin flavored food and pumpkin crafts everywhere :) and I'm loving it.

I have a confession though... I love love love pumpkin flavored coffee and cupcakes and ice cream and...pretty much you name it, I love it. But...I don't like pumpkin pie. I won't eat it. How weird is that? (LOL)

Many people celebrate "Harvest" instead of Halloween or in some households, they celebrate both. We do both because Halloween and Harvest leads effortlessly (for us) into Thanksgiving and a lot of things I make and use for Halloween decorations can be used as is or easily converted to Harvest decorations and then later to Thanksgiving decorations. Also this way Halloween is not overly accented in our house as I hate how commercialized the holiday has become. I love the spooky stuff and to decorate but I hate a lot of the pressure and craziness associated with what used to be a "little" holiday.

This week's questions are short and sweet:

Which ones do you celebrate and how: Halloween or Harvest or Both?

and...

Do you ever make holiday special crafts and hang decorations for personal use or if you have an online store or sell at bazaars/craft fairs do you make holiday specific items to sell?

Looking forward to hearing your answers!

Please remember to submit your suggestions and questions to: spdychevy@gmail.com with Question in the subject line and we'll get your question up here soon!

Happy Monday to all :)
